We’re thrilled to announce the return of the ELY Memorial Fund Young Driver Education Programme, running from 21st to 25th July 2025! Tickets are now available to book, but be quick, places fill fast on our flagship event!
This inspiring and educational programme is designed for young people aged 14-17 who want to gain vital driving skills and road safety awareness. With a fantastic line-up of practical sessions, engaging workshops, and expert advice, this is a must-attend event for young drivers looking to build confidence behind the wheel.

About Our Young Driver Experience
The Young Driver Experience gives 14-17 year olds the opportunity to drive a car with instructors from ‘Go Driving’ around a controlled course laid out at the rear of Hereford & Ludlow College.
The day comprises of 2 hours of driving accompanied by a variety of workshops including:
Basic car maintenance
delivered by the Car Mechanics Department
Basic road side first aid
delivered by Hereford First Aid
A demonstration of the effects of drink and drugs
and equipment in police car by Hereford Police
Event Details
Open to children aged 14-17
a Safe Introduction to Driving, giving them an early start in building essential skills.
£30 per person
including lunch and refreshments! Plus all the profit goes to supporting our charity!
On the day
Registration will begin at 8.45-9am in the car park off Whittern Way and the day runs until 4pm.
