A Team Effort

The day wouldn’t have been possible without the huge support of so many individuals and businesses. Special thanks go to:

  • Mark & Amy Ellis, owners of Burghill Valley Golf Club, for hosting us.

  • Nick Isaac and the bar & kitchen team for serving fantastic food and looking after our golfers.

  • Andy Cameron and the Pro-Shop team for their help with scorecards and event support.

  • The Greenkeepers, who prepared the course to perfection and helped with sponsor boards, banners and flags.

  • S&A Produce, who donated delicious strawberries for pudding - always a big hit!

  • Volunteers, including Jackie Rock (drinks station), Vicky & Mark Howells (equipment and support), Paul Weaver (tee times and a few laughs along the way), Luda Weaver (raffle tickets), and our Trustees - Marie Watkin, Russell Leary, Diana Wood, Nigel Wood, Natalie & Max Trumper - who worked tirelessly to ensure the day ran smoothly.

We’re also deeply grateful to the many businesses and individuals who kindly donated prizes, including:

One Word…Magnificent

Reflecting on the day, Ange Tyler, Founder and Manager of the ELY Memorial Fund, said:

“One word to capture the day — Magnificent. We are so grateful to every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and business who supported us. Together, you’ve helped us raise vital funds to continue supporting bereaved families across Herefordshire.”

Every penny raised will help the ELY Memorial Fund provide funeral cost grants for families in Herefordshire who tragically lose a son or daughter aged 17–25 in a road traffic collision.
