ELY 100 - 24/25TH JUNE 2017

What a weekend this was!!   Steve Jay organised a wonderful weekend for the cyclists who took part in the 100 mile route from Hereford to Brecon with an overnight stay at Bishop Meadows Caravan Park.   Every detail was in place and thankfully no one got lost or injured over the weekend.   They all set off from Balfour Beatty on Saturday morning and then arriving at the camp site to a hearty BBQ kindly sponsored by @Fluidmaster of Hereford.     They have entertainment in the club house during the evening with a few drinks along the way!  No bad heads on Sunday morning when we gathered altogether to have breakfast in the refurbished café.   On the arrival home into the City Sports Club, we fed the cyclists with curry & rice cooked by Steve Jay's niece, it was lovely!    Finally individual trophies and medals given out to everyone who took part.    We are still waiting for sponsors to come through but at present it is over £1,500 already received.    Details of final amount will be announced shortly.    thank you again to all who took part and all the back up crew from Balfour Beatty.    Ange & Steve x
