Burghill Valley Ladies Tee Off a Year of Support for The ELY Memorial Fund

We are delighted to share that the newly appointed Ladies Captain at Burghill Valley Golf Club, Vicky Howells, has chosen The ELY Memorial Fund as her Charity of the Year for 2025.

The fundraising kicked off on Saturday 25 October in spirited style with Vicky’s first charity event, the ‘Captain’s Drive In’. Despite a very windy and cold start to the morning, both Vicky and former Captain Carol impressed with strong opening drives. Players warmed up with a welcome treat of cake and a little celebratory tipple before heading out onto the course, creating a fantastic atmosphere to launch the year ahead.

Ahead of this event, Ange and Diana from the ELY Memorial Fund were delighted to attend the Ladies Golf Committee AGM, where they were invited to speak about our charity’s mission and the vital support it provides to young drivers and families across Herefordshire. We really appreciated the warm reception and genuine enthusiasm from the group, it really made for an uplifting evening.

We are incredibly grateful to Vicky and the whole Ladies Section at Burghill Valley Golf Club for choosing to support ELY this year. Your kindness and commitment will make a real difference to local families when they need it most.
