ELY Memorial Fund Crowned Charity of the Year 2025 at Herefordshire Means Business Awards
The ELY Memorial Fund is honoured and overwhelmed to have been named Charity or Social Enterprise of the Year 2025 at the Herefordshire Means Business Awards, held at The Paddocks Hotel.
As the winner was announced, the room rose to their feet in applause, a moment filled with emotion and pride for everyone connected to ELY. Founder Ange Tyler took to the stage, holding back tears as the words of presenters Richard Weaver and Matt Teale echoed just how much the charity means to our community.
“To achieve this award is a huge honour for ELY. It represents 13 years of hard work and continuous fundraising to ensure we can support families when their whole world collapses.”
Since 2012, The ELY Memorial Fund has been committed to providing immediate financial support to families in Herefordshire who lose a child aged 17–25 in a road traffic collision - helping them through the darkest and most unimaginable moments with our ‘Hugs Pack’.
This award recognises not only the charity’s work but the young lives remembered and the families we have stood beside - and will continue to support.
