ELY Christmas Market Raises £1,285 for Local Families

The ELY Christmas Market returned on Saturday 15 November 2025 — and thanks to our wonderful stallholders, supporters and visitors, we are delighted to share that the event raised £1,285 to support bereaved families across Herefordshire.

Held at The Green Dragon Hotel, the market brought together a vibrant mix of independent makers, bakers, artists and small businesses. With more than 20 stalls offering everything from handmade crafts to sweet treats, the event was filled with festive spirit and community warmth from the moment the doors opened.

A Celebration of Local Creativity

We were proud to welcome an incredible line-up of vendors this year, including:

• Noori Hair – organic cold-pressed hair oils and accessories

• Sassy – clothing and accessories

• Agnieszka Piwkowska – wooden crafts and paintings

• Two Mamas – personalised gifts, accessories and handmade items

• The Courtyard Bakery – brownies, cookies, cupcakes and seasonal treats

• Herefordshire Wildlife Trust – information and local wildlife awareness

• Mollys Gemstones and Scents – candles and wax melts

• Trumper’s Tea – loose-leaf tea

• The Pink Gecko - Kenyan kikoy towels

Each and every stall brought something special to the event, helping us create a warm, welcoming festive market enjoyed by families, shoppers and supporters.

Supporting Local Families When It Matters Most

Funds raised from the Christmas Market will go directly towards supporting families in Herefordshire who tragically lose a young adult aged 17–25 in a road traffic collision. Every pound raised helps us offer financial support at an unimaginably painful time — and continues to fuel our commitment to road safety and young driver education across the county.
