Stone End Farm - Fishing Competition

We would like to say a huge "thank you" to all the fisherman who entered the competition on Saturday 6th July at Stone End Farm.  We could not of asked for better weather, it was beautiful!   It all started with the huge cooked breakfast sponsored by Richard & PO and cooked by PO and some very special ladies, Lindsay, Dawne, Julie, Ann & Michelle - you did an amazing job and Graham for the fried eggs!  Once all the fished were weighed in, everyone prepared for the evening, by donating food for a Ploughman's Feast!  Thank you to everyone who provided such a wonderful spread along with some devine puddings!  

The evening started with the presentation of trophies to the fisherman who caught the most fish.  1st Place was Ian Williams with a fishing weight of  232lbs & 4oz; 2nd Place  was  Duane Evans with a fishing weight  of 123lbs & 7 oz; 3rd Place was Mike Smith with a fishing weight of 112lbs & 11 oz and 4th Place was John Hastings with a fishing weight of 109lbs & 9oz.   Prizes were sponsored by Woody's Angling of Hereford, Sue's Angling of Hereford, Fisherman's Creel of Gloucester, Gloucester Angling, Wye Angling of Ross-on-Wye, Go Out Doors of Gloucester and Maver.  

PO hosted the evening providing wonderful entertainment of Scroll No Scroll and Bingo along with a raffle. A special thank you to Michelle who sourced a large majority of prizes and to the beautiful cake that was made by her mum which had Em's picture on. 

By the end of the evening you all raised an amazing £2,726.10 for ELY!!!

Finally, thank you to Richard & PO for all their hard work and allowing the event to be held at Stone End Farm, we really appreciate your kindness and generosity.
